Mint to Be Zen

Has there every been a flavour combination better than chocolate and mint.  Many of the chocolate mint combinations are ladened with sugar but this tea is the ticket for you to indulge without any guilt.  The whole family can enjoy this tea and feel like they have just had the best dessert or after dinner digestif.  This tea not only tastes delicious but is packed with natural goodness.  

Make a cup and let it take over your senses making you feel a little bit of zen while invigorating the mind.  It can also be enjoyed over ice for a summer time cool down cocktail.

Servings: 30g Approx.-8-10 servings.

Ingredients: Rooibos, peppermint leaves, carob pieces, cocoa bean pieces, calendula marigold, sunflower petals. 

Nourishing Benefits:  Rooibos is packed with antioxidants,polyphenols, anti-inflammatory properties. Offers a caffeine-free alternative with deep flavour. Peppermint leave can help soothe digestive discomfort, support healthy digestion, and promote relaxation and mental clarity.  Carob, a tasty chocolate-like alternative, is rich in fibers and antioxidants. It provides natural sweetness and nutrients, including calcium, potassium, and vitamins A and B. Cocoa beans contain flavonoids and antioxidants that can promote heart health, boost mood, and provide a decadent taste experience and are rich in calcium.  Calendula besides adding visual allure, it boasts potential anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties, making it a gentle and calming addition. Sunflower petals bring a touch of sunshine to the blend. They are a source of antioxidants like vitamin E.

Aroma: minty, fruity, chocolate notes

Add 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea for each 8 oz/ 250 ml of water.  Pour freshly boiled water over tea and steep 3-7 minutes.  Add milk, milk alternative, sugar to taste.  May be steeped up to 3 times but flavour will lessen each time. 

For iced version: 6 slightly heaping teaspoons in a teapot with 1 3/4 cup hot water. Steep for 5-7 minutes.  Allow to cool, strain in to a pitcher ad 1/4 cup of cold water. Pour in glass and add ice, sweetener( if needed) and garnish.
